Sebastian Eagles Riders to host annual poker run

TREASURE COAST -- The Sebastian Inlet Eagle Riders No. 4067 will be having their second annual Charity Poker Run on April 6.

Sign up for the Poker run begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Sebastian, Vero Beach and Jensen Beach Mulligan's. The event kicks off at the various Mulligans' at 10 a.m. and ends at the Sebastian Eagles Club House at 9606 Trade Center Drive in Sebastian.

First out for the Poker Run is at 10:30 a.m., Last Out is at 11:30 a.m. and Last In is at 3:30 p.m. The Poker Hands are $10 each. There will be live music all day by the Randy Skirvin Band, 50/50 drawings, raffles, auction items and plenty of food and drink available. Proceeds will benefit SunUp ARC and The Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center.

SunUp ARC operates on three campuses, two in Vero Beach and one in Sebastian, providing much needed services for individuals with special needs. SunUp ARC is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 agency and is a United Way partner agency. For information on SunUp ARC, please call (772) 562-6854, Ext. 219.

In 2008 the Fraternal Order of Eagles made a five-year, $25 million commitment to develop The Fraternal Order of Eagles diabetes Research Center at the University of Iowa. Funds raised are specifically for diabetes research.
