INDIAN RIVER COUNTY -- On April 6, hundreds of local residents will walk a five-mile route over the Vero Beach bridges in support of Care Net Pregnancy Center of Indian River County.
Care Net will be celebrating its 29th annual "Bridges to Life" Walk. This event begins with registration at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m. at Riverside Park under the oaks.
The "Bridges to Life" Walk will be a community wide gathering in support of the important work that Care Net provides to women and families throughout Indian River County.
The walk is open to the entire community. Christian FM will be on location. The Edmund Nalzaro family will be performing live music, and food will add to the festivities at the park.
Walkers will be raising money through their friends and associates who are asked to sponsor them for either a one- or a five-mile walk. All of the funds raised will go towards the operations of Care Net Pregnancy Center as they provide services and support for women and families faced with a crisis pregnancy.
Any walker who raises more than $150 will receive a free T-shirt.
