Making the most of Pi Day

John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce celebrated the mathematical symbol Pi on March 14 with special "Pi Day" events. The day was sponsored by Mu Alpha Theta Club, the school's honor society. The day was also a fundraiser for the local food bank, Students could wear jeans if they brought in three cans of food, with the goal of having 314 cans to donate. Slices of pie were also sold, with all proceeds going to the food bank. Marisa Scaringe, 15, and, in front, Mary Beth Boudrias, 16, both of Fort Pierce, rearrange the canned food for the scavenger hunt at John Carroll High School in Fort Pierce at the PI day celebrations on Thursday, March 14.
