MARTIN COUNTY -- The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast's two thrift stores are preparing for a pre-Easter Spring Fling sale that will feature all Easter items at half-price along with a number of other discounts.
The sale will be held from March 14 to 18 at Thrift Store North, 1099 N.W. 21st Street and Thrift Store South, 2585 S.E. Federal Highway, both in Stuart, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, on St. Patrick's Day, Sunday, March 17, all adoptions will be only $17 at the store locations and at the shelter, 4100 S.W. Leighton Farm Ave., in Palm City.
Hundreds of new inventory items will be on sale in all departments, including all cookware and kitchenware at 50 percent off; spring and summer sportswear starting at $4; men's and women's sport coats and dresses starting at $6; all children's wear starting at $2.50. This is in addition to all Easter items at 50 percent off, which includes ceramic, resin and glass Easter decorations and Easter baskets.
"We've been saving the best of the best for this special sale," said Terry Arnett, HSTC Thrift Store Manager.
In addition to the bargains at both stores, Thrift Store North also will providing deluxe, gentle spa baths for dogs; hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks; and kids' activities that include balloons, a coloring contest, name that elephant and more. One lucky person at each store will win a $50 HSTC Thrift Store gift certificate. No purchase is necessary. The drawing will be held March 19 at noon at both locations.
