There's so much going on here in Port St. Lucie, and so many great things being done by the people who live here, I'm going to jump right in, because it looks like we're all in store for a busy month.
If you like music, take a moment to stop by and experience the Ambassadors of Swing playing at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center on March 12. This band, made up of residents that live and work right here on the Treasure Coast, has some of the best jazz musicians I've ever heard, and you'll be able to dance to it as well.
For those with an eye on the upcoming Mets baseball season, expect to see a new name on their baseball fields and stadium.
Now called Tradition Field, it first received this moniker in 2004, and held it until 2009.
If you haven't been out to see any of the practices or games, there has been a lot of expansion at the stadium.
Visitors will see a new scoreboard, new video screen, and even new seating, as seating and picnic tables were added to allow fans to watch from beside first base.
This is a landmark year for the Mets here in Port St. Lucie, as they are celebrating 25 years of holding their spring training right here in our community.
There are 18 games planned for this season, so there will be plenty of opportunities to go out and take advantage of a great game in this great weather.
See you around!
