College to host event for writers
Writer's Day will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 16 at the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Room Y-102, on the IRSC Main Campus, 3209 Virginia Ave. in Fort Pierce. Lunch will be provided.
This program is designed to improve writing, thinking and communication skills. Participants may register for $25 per person, payable to the IRSC Foundation. Space is limited to the first 55 registrants.

Car show to include job training info
The college is hosting the 10th annual River Classic Custom Car Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3 on the IRSC Main Campus in Fort Pierce.
Participants in the competition may register between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Admission and parking for the public is free. Information will be provided on the College's Quick Job Training program in Automotive Service Technology and the Associate Degree program in Automotive Service Technology Management.
The rain date for the show is March 10.

Orchid Society to host annual event
The Port St. Lucie Orchid
Society is hosting its 20th annual show and sale on March 8 to 10, at the Port St. Lucie Community Center.
The society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering knowledge of orchids and their culture and related fields.
