INDIAN RIVER COUNTY --
Get some help for your hyper hound at The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County's puppy and dog training classes.
Registration has begun for all classes starting the week of March 4. Cost for six weeks of training is $40, with all registration fees directly benefiting the animals of Indian River County.
Convenient class times make it easy for everyone to join in on the fun. Canine students and their pet parents learn basic commands such as "sit," "down," and "stay." Attendees will also learn how to correct bad habits such as leash pulling, door bolting and jumping. Classes use motivational training approaches that are not food reliant.
Classes are taught by HSVBIRC Pet Behavior Coordinator Connie Ellis. Class size is limited and payment may be made at The Humane Society by check or cash.
Choice of class is on a first come, first serve basis with registration continuing until classes are filled.
The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping and protecting the animals of Indian River County.
