BREVARD -- As a part of the Eau Gallie Art District's First Friday Art Walk, jazz pianist Rich Abrahams will entertain guests at the Foosaner Art Museum.
Jazz Friday, an event hosted by the Foosaner Art Museum that allows guests to listen to live jazz as they view art, is scheduled for Friday, March 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum.
Tina Murray, manager of visitor services at the Foosaner Art Museum, said Mr. Abrahams is a popular fixture at the gallery.
"Mr. Rich is a regular jazz performer and usually brings in a crowd," she said. "He's been playing at (Jazz Friday) for at least the last four years."
While Mr. Abrahams plays, guests can enjoy "I Am Nature: Paintings by Leslie Wayne." This exhibition will also be on display until March 17.
Ms. Murray said she encourages the public to attend First Friday because of the art and environment the event offers.
"First Fridays in the Eau Gallie Arts Districts are lively and family-friendly," she said. "Outside the museum, our studio offers hands-on art activities. Meanwhile, the entire length of Highland Avenue participates with art openings, receptions, fundraisers and wine tastings."
Ms. Murray said she begins booking spring concerts early, and, if a musician is interested in playing, they often contact her.
The event will also offer wine and beer to those who are of age.
The Eau Gallie Art District's First Friday Art Walk is held every first Friday of each month.
The Foosaner Art Museum is located at 1463 Highland Ave. in the Eau Gallie Arts District of Melbourne.
