Port Orange Government Television (pogTV) channel 199, seeks films from Volusia County and Seminole County high school students for the 6th annual pogTV Film Festival.
Students from Volusia County and Seminole County High Schools are eligible to submit films. There is no fee. The participants will submit DVD copies for judging. Judging criteria will focus on creativity, overall production, technical talent and concept.
Submit four DVD copies along with the pogTV Film Festival Entry Form to Kent Donahue, City of Port Orange, 1000 City Center Circle, Port Orange, FL 32129. The entry form is found on the city's web site under pogTV at www.port-orange.org.
Entries must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, May 17.
First Place will be $150. Second Place will be $50. Overall winner will also receive an additional $50.
For consideration, films must not be shorter than two minutes and no longer than 20 minutes in duration. Films with questionable language, content or deemed offensive by the Film Festival Governing Board will be omitted from the judging. The Film Festival Governing Board is comprised of the Port Orange City Manager and pogTV Staff.
