PORT ST. LUCIE -- Harbor Community Bank will celebrate the grand opening of its newest branch, at the intersection of Prima Vista Boulevard and U.S. Highway 1 in Port St. Lucie, on Feb. 23.

The grand opening celebration will include complimentary food and drinks along with music, prizes and more, including a $1,000 cash giveaway. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until 2 p.m.

"We're inviting the entire community to come share in the excitement as we open our newest location in Port St. Lucie," said J. Hal Roberts Jr., Harbor Community Bank's president. "This new branch is a visible reminder of our commitment to being an active part of a thriving local community."

Harbor Community Bank operates two Port St. Lucie branches - the new branch at 7510 U.S. 1, and a St. Lucie West branch at 1722 SW St. Lucie West Blvd. The new branch is already open for business in advance of the grand opening event.

"We look forward to greeting our neighbors in Port St. Lucie at the grand opening," Mr. Roberts said. "It will be a great opportunity for everyone to come see what it's like to bank with your neighbors."

Visitors may stop by and register in advance for the grand opening prize drawings anytime during regular branch hours, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays. There is no purchase necessary and you do not need to be present at the drawing to win.

Headquartered in Indiantown, Harbor Community Bank is a state-chartered community bank, which was originally chartered in 1960 as the First Bank of Indiantown. In February 2011, a group of local community bankers acquired the bank and changed the name to Harbor Community Bank.

Today, Harbor Community Bank has assets of more than $400 million, and operates 14 full-service retail banking centers in locations throughout East-Central Florida: Port St. Lucie, St. Lucie West, Fort Pierce, Downtown Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, South Stuart, Palm City, Jupiter, Okeechobee, Lakeport, Indiantown, North St. Augustine, South St. Augustine and Palatka.

Harbor Community Bank is one of a handful of Florida banks that earned a five star rating by Bauer Financial.
