MARTIN COUNTY -- On Jan. 18, 26 Martin County High School DECA students competed in business events at the district competition held at Northwood University, with 20 students qualifying in the top six of their individual categories.
This is the third year for MCHS DECA and the academy of marketing management in competition.
On Feb. 28, Martin County High School will have 20 students compete at the 53rd state career development conference held in Orlando.
MCHS DECA is interested in personal and local business sponsorships to help offset some of the cost for the students and their families. Also, all DECA alumni or current DECA members are invited to help these students prepare for competition by judging at mock competitions.
DECA is an international association of marketing students, preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
MCHS DECA is an organization for students who are in the MCHS academy of marketing management or interested in marketing and wish to pursue a business career.
