The Cape Canaveral Region of the Antique Auto Club of America, Scholarship plan has expanded to include a job.
For eight years running, the Cape Canaveral Region of the AACA has offered scholarship awards in automotive vocational arts.
This year has seen a significant overhaul in its scholarship plan that one lucky student can receive bringing this scholarship to a whole new level.
It is now called "The Tools to Build a Life Scholarship" plan. This totally updated scholarship plan includes all the basic components for a student to find success in building a life in the automotive field.
Recognition/tools/tuition/a full-time paying job is all now included.
Even the overall GPA requirement for the senior level graduating student has been lowered to a C average this year. This was done to encourage more applications and open up more opportunity for the average student to find success with a scholarship plan at home here in Brevard.
Then, a full-time paying job as an apprentice in automotive vocational Arts was added.
There is also a large, two -level, three-piece professional-size tool box included, with assorted basic tools, plus $1,000 toward tuition expenses to attend vocational training, with the necessary time off at work to attend the training.
This plan also includes honors recognition at graduation with two new awards of recognition. One award will be for the lucky student and another for the automotive vocational Arts department in the high school.
Applications are available through the automotive vocational arts teachers in the student's high schools in Brevard or by mail, upon written request.
The final day for an applications consideration is April 15.
Participation in this scholarship requires the student to be a current automotive vocational arts student in Brevard.
