Volusia schools offer 40th elementary music showcase
Volusia County Schools will host its 40th annual All-County Elementary Music Showcase at the Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd., Daytona Beach.
The performance is at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and is open to the public. There is no admission charge, but there is a $5 parking fee.
This year's showcase will feature more than 250 of the finest elementary musicians selected from the public schools throughout the county. The concert will feature a wide array of selections from a variety of music styles and historical eras.
Organizers recommend avoiding International Speedway Boulevard because of Speed Weeks, and go through Ormond Beach or Port Orange to get to the beachside.
