Deli opens in Holly Hill
An American Deli has opened at 1517 N. Nova Road, Holly Hill.
The deli specializes in hot wings, subs, gyros and Philly cheesesteaks.
In 1989, American Deli opened its first restaurant in the South Dekalb Mall in Atlanta. There are now more than 80 locations throughout Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
Daytona Beach gets fresh -- Lime Fresh that is
Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, a fast-casual Mexican restaurant originally conceived in Florida, has opened at 1802 W. International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach.
The South Beach bred concept has garnered a cult following from locals and celebrities alike throughout Miami, and continues its East Coast expansion plans with its 13th location in Florida.

Pool operator class planned
The Halifax District of the Florida Environmental Health Association will conduct a Certified Pool Operator class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 and Thursday, May 2 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the Volusia County Health Department, 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach.
This nationally recognized class covers the basics of caring for public pools and spas. The class consists of 16 hours of instruction and an exam.

Learn to cook Italian Food
The Casements will host an Italian Cooking class from 5:45 to 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at 25 Riverside Drive, Ormond Beach.
The Feb. 28 class is $75. Instructor will be Marry Maggio. The dish will be traditional Antipasti.
Additional classes are scheduled and some classes are on Thursday evening. There is a discount of $25 if students register for three classes.

Learn appraisal 101
At the next Daytona Beach Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors meeting, area agents have the opportunity to get the scoop on how to work with their client and appraiser to close more transactions.
Presenter Kim Bell of Appraisals Unlimited is a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser and a licensed real estate broker with extensive experience and training.
Attendees will learn how to review a Uniform Residential Appraisal Report, how to determine comps, and get solid answers to their questions regarding zoning and public vs. private streets.
The monthly WCR Business Resource Meeting will be at noon Monday, Feb. 25, at the LPGA Clubhouse, 100 International Golf Drive in Daytona Beach.

ICI Homes hires two more online new home specialists
ICI Homes has appointed Faith Frances Russo and Richard A. "Rich" Elton as online new home specialists at ICI Homes' corporate headquarters on Beville Road in Daytona Beach.
Rosemary Messina, vice president of sales and marketing at ICI Homes, said the online new home specialists are part of a major expansion of ICI Homers' online marketing program.
Ms. Russo earned a degree in elementary education from St. Joseph's College in Standish, Me., and served as a client relations specialist at the CEU Institute in Lake Mary.
Mr. Elton earned a degree in anthropology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and is an Ormond Beach native. He previously was a customer relations specialist at the Premier Care Baths regional call center in South Daytona.
Southern Title names commercial closing officer
Ronda Alley has joined Southern Title as an escrow officer in the company's Commercial Division.
Ms. Alley brings 23 years of experience to her new position at the county's largest independent title agent. She recently relocated from Texas where she served as manager and escrow officer with Stewart Title of North Texas. Previously she owned an abstracting company in Maine.

More than 100 Area Realtors on hand at sales center unveil
More than 100 area Realtors attended the recent showcase reception at Plantation Bay Golf & Country Club in Ormond Beach when community developer ICI Homes and officials from the golf course community unveiled Plantation Bay's newly remodeled sales center.
Participants enjoyed foods and beverages as well as a tour through the Plantation Bay sales center that boasts a new 46-foot display that tells the history of the Daytona community developer .
Realtor Kandi Schromm or RE/MAX Property Centre who responded to her Facebook invitation to join the reception, won a four-day, three-night getaway pamper package at Lighthouse Key resort in Orlando with two tickets to Walt Disney World.
Participating Realtors also won gift cards and umbrellas.
ICI Homes spent more than a month extensively remodeling the 1,188-square-foot sales center.
