Show to focus on blue planet

The Fielden Institute for Lifelong Learning continues with "This Blue Planet with Alexandra Cousteau" on Feb. 21 at 4 p.m.

The performance begins at 4 p.m. at the IRSC McAlpin Fine Arts Center on the Main Campus in Fort Pierce. Individual tickets are $35. Student and group pricing is also available.

Skate board competition coming to Jensen Beach

SKATE-COMP 2013 takes place on March 2 at Rio-Jensen Skate Park at 2151 N.E. Dixie Highway in Jensen Beach.

Participants will test their skills on the street course, intermediate and beginner bowls. Come on wheels or on foot for activities that include a raffle, product toss, music and food.

The competition starts at 1 p.m. A Martin County Parks and Recreation Skate Card is required to compete ($10.60 for Martin County resident annual pass, $21.20 for others) along with hard-shell elbow, knee and helmet gear.

SeniorFest 2013 coming to Palm City

Fifteen topics ranging from caregiving to writing one's life story will be part of the 2013 Florida SeniorFest to be held starting at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 23 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City.

Seniors will be able to choose from 15 workshops in categories such as relationships, exercise, health, using your gifts, caregiving and finding joy during the event.

Space is limited, so register early. The fee for the event is $30, and registration is through one of the participating churches or online at www.aloafloridaseniorfest.com
