TREASURE COAST --
Bob Evans Farms began a comprehensive focus on healthful choices for guests and employees, ranging from new menu options to a new tobacco-free workplace for employees.
First, the company implemented a new tobacco-free workplace policy for all its restaurants, food production plants, transportation centers and other corporate facilities, effective Jan. 1.
Guests looking to make more healthful choices in the new year will also find new options on the Bob Evans menu, including new $9.99 three-course dinners under 450 calories.
For a limited time, Bob Evans guests can create a complete, custom three-course meal with starter, entrée and dessert for fewer than 450 calories.
Guests with dietary restrictions can also enjoy a new gluten-free menu.
Bob Evans has partnered with the National Restaurant Association through its Kids LiveWell program. By participating in Kids LiveWell, Bob Evans will help parents quickly identify healthful menu items for children, encouraging increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, lean protein, whole grains and low-fat dairy.
This fall, the company also kicked off a partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by holding a nationwide fundraiser in November. The company recently presented a $15,000 donation to JDRF.
Bob Evans restaurant is located at 830 Southwest Fountainview Blvd., Port St. Lucie.
