PALM CITY -- Fifteen topics ranging from caregiving to writing one's life story will be part of the 2013 Florida SeniorFest to be held starting at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 23 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City.
Seniors will be able to choose from 15 workshops in categories such as relationships, exercise, health, using your gifts, caregiving and finding joy during the event.
Keynote speakers is Dr. Mary Manz Simon, an author and publisher of hundreds of articles, popular media personality and a trend analyst, working with companies and retailers, in publishing, education and children's entertainment, and the Rev. Richard M. Koehneke, a distinguished Bible teacher and church musician, will present "Music With A Message."
Sponsored by Adult Lutherans Organized for Action, Thrivent Lutheran Services and Lutheran Services of Florida, the event will provide a day of learning, food, fun and challenges for all seniors and friends.
Attendees need not be Lutheran to attend. There will be prayer, bible and music sessions, and a lunch is included.
