Detectives from the Indian River County Sheriff's Office are looking for witnesses or people with any information about a drive-by shooting in Vero Beach last week.
The two victims struck with small caliber projectiles are recovering after being treated for their non-life-threatening injuries at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce on Jan. 31.
According to a press release, four friends were standing in front of Winston's restaurant and pool hall in Vero Beach as the business was about to close. A turquoise, four-door car slowly drove up and an unidentified black male was seen holding a firearm and fired several shots from an open window in the car's back seat toward the group.
The names of the victims have not been released, and neither victim could identify a suspect or suspects or provide a possible motive, the press release said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Chris Cassinari at (772) 978-6107.
To remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, informants can provide information to the Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at (800) 273-8477 or www.tcwatch.org. Please refer to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office case number 2013-17454.
