Cliff Partlow/staff photographer

Brian Tatro, of Henry Fischer and Sons, talks with James Gray, County Coastal Engineer for Indian River County about placement of 2,100 cubic yards of sand during the Emergency Dune Stabilization project at Wabasso Beach last Wednesday. Starting next Monday, Golden Sands Beach will be closed for 3-4 weeks and will get 3,500 cubic yards of sand. High winds and surf from Hurricane Sandy are to blame for the erosion.
