Free church wedding: This year marks the 121st anniversary of the "little" chapel on Ocean Avenue.
Although it is sometimes confused for just an historical landmark, the Melbourne Beach Community Chapel has served the community since Jan. 10, 1892.
Permit a play on the 1-2-1 anniversary, what is something special it can offer the community to enhance a 'one-to-one' relationship?
Being branded as the "wedding chapel," how about a free wedding? Yes, that is just what the Community Chapel would like to announce - a free wedding with a drawing, to be held on Melbourne Beach Founders Day.
During these difficult economic times and considering the statistics on cohabitation break-ups, they would like to offer a free wedding to a couple, who would choose to be married if it was financially feasible. Make a lifelong dream come true.
For additional information and an application, visit the church website at www.mbchapel.org after Feb. 14.
