Jean L. Webber
Jean L. Webber, 87, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, at her caregiver's home.
Born in South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Webber moved to this area in 1954. She was a member of United Church of Christ in New Smyrna Beach, where she served as church secretary for 15 years.

Edward "Ed" Stastny
Edward "Ed" Stastny, 81, of Edgewater, died Friday, Jan. 25, at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, Edgewater.
Born in Islip Manor, N.Y., Mr. Stastny, an engineer, moved to this area in 1991. He served in the U. S. Navy, retired from Grumman Aerospace Corp. after 30 years, was past president of the Grumman Retiree Club, past president of TOPS chapter 511 in Edgewater, and an avid fisherman.

Bruce Edward Smith Sr.
Bruce Edward Smith Sr., 89, of Edgewater, died Sunday, Jan. 27, at home.
Mr. Smith was born in Campbellton, Fla., and came to this area in 1958 from Panama City. He served the nation during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member and Deacon for many years at Beachside Baptist Church New Smyrna Beach.
John "Buck" Welsh Buchanan Jr.
John "Buck" Welsh Buchanan Jr., 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in New Smyrna Beach from complications of Parkinson Disease.
A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Buchanan was an engineering graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, and the U.S. Naval Reserve Midshipman's School. He served as a Navy Lieutenant Junior Grade in the South Pacific aboard the USS Pollux during World War II, and then as a Lieutenant at Fort Campbell during the Korean War. He was in the steel industry, first at Jones and Loughlin Steel, and later at Youngstown Sheet and Tube.

Louise H. Martin
Louise H. Martin, 96, of New Smyrna Beach, died at home Sunday, Jan. 27, with her sons at her side.
A resident since 1953, she came to this area from her native Madisonville, Ky. A retired Realtor with Watson Realty, Mrs. Martin previously worked for Dr. Mervin Meck, first in his office and later as assistant to the executive director of the Florida Osteopathic Association. Prior to that she worked at Read-Pattillo Elementary School.
