Business summit for minorities, women
Indian River State College is hosting the 2013 Minorities and Women in Business Summit Feb. 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brown Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Tickets are $59 per person. The price includes breakfast, a working luncheon and networking opportunities for local business women and minorities.

Breakfast, bus tour at ranch
The St. Lucie Audubon Society will host a breakfast and bus tour of Adams Ranch on Feb. 16. The bus tour will feature birds, cattle, alligators and other wild life in their natural setting.
Cost for the event is $25 per person and space is limited to the first 80 people who respond.

Spay, neuter event taking place
The St. Lucie/Indian River County Chapter of the United Humanitarians will be sponsoring another two day spay/neuter event at Dr. Dan's Animal Clinic in Vero Beach on Feb. 5.
This event will be open to all in Indian River and St. Lucie counties.
The rates will be $40 for cats and $60 for dogs.
Pets should be at least 4 months old.
