STUART -- The Woman's Club of Stuart invites the public to enjoy a vintage- style tea and fashion show as they kick off their 100th anniversary celebration.
The event, "100 Years of Fashion Show and Tea," will be held at the Woman's Club of Stuart on March 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Guests will enjoy a runway show featuring notable women of Stuart dressed in fashions from the past 100 years.
Pat Schmader, chairwoman and Anne Schafer have been on a quest through the closets of the Stuart Heritage Museum, the Elliott Museum, the House of Phoenix in downtown Stuart and club members to prepare for this fun event.
Guests will enjoy tea and coffee, as well as tea sandwiches and pastries.
Women are welcome to wear their own vintage fashions and hats if they desire. There will be an antique car on display, perfect for photographs. Tickets are $40 per person and must be purchased in advance due to limited seating.
Francesca Morgan, club member and interior designer will coordinate the black and white décor of the event using photos, club memorabilia and more. Floral centerpieces are being donated by Dorothea's Florists of Jensen Beach.
Suzi Q Productions will provide entertainment and lighting for the event. Advanced Printing in Stuart is donating the invitations.
While visiting the Woman's Clubhouse, guests will have the opportunity to visit the backyard, where a memorial walkway with engraved brick pavers is planned. The 100th anniversary memorial brick program is a fundraiser for the Woman's Club, a nonprofit organization. Bricks will be available for sale at the fashion show.
