VPs visit local Realtor
Weichert Real Estate Affiliates senior vice president Bill Scott and Weichert lead network vice president Bill Spadea visited the Weichert Realtors - Hallmark Properties in Palm Bay recently.
Mr. Scott and Mr. Spadea visited the office to deliver "The Career Development Summit" to agents from Palm Bay and Melbourne.
They travel to Weichert-affiliated offices throughout the country to bring the program in-person to agents.
The traveling presentations are designed to bolster agent performance by offering information on "how to harness the power of the Weichert tools and getting the appointment in two minutes or less."
The Weichert Palm Bay agency opened in July as one of two locations in Brevard County.

Governor appoints three to State commission
Florida Gov. Rick Scott recently announced the appointments of Jennifer H. Hobbs, James M. Kuzma and Eugene "Ken" Wolfe to the State Emergency Response Commission.
Ms. Hobbs, 48, of Orlando, is an environmental engineer with InoMedic Health Applications L.L.C.
She succeeds George Danz for a term that began Jan. 9.
Mr. Kuzma, 51, of Cocoa Beach, is the chief operating officer of Space Florida.
He fills a vacant seat for a term that began Jan. 9.
Mr. Wolfe, 55, of Fort Walton Beach, is the emergency management coordinator for Okaloosa County.
He fills a vacant seat for a term that began Jan. 9.
Health studio and yoga joining forces
Beachside Health Studio has announced the grand opening of "Sun Yoga at Beachside Health Studio."
This is a second location to the existing Sun Yoga in Indian Harbour Beach.
Clients will now be able to enjoy a plethora of health and wellness classes at either Beachside Health Studio in Indialantic or Sun Yoga in Indian Harbour Beach.
Each location will offer mat pilates, Qi Gong, Tai Chi and a variety of yoga classes, including Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Purna, Kripalu Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Beginners Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Mommy & Me Yoga and Prenatal Yoga.

The Space Coast Association has installed new leadership for its 1,400-member association.
Realtor Jesse Parrish III of Pruitt Real Estate was installed as the association's 2013 president.

New port authority board members announced
Cocoa Beach resident Tom Weinberg will serve as chairman of the Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners for 2013.
The former chief of staff for former Florida Sen. Mel Martinez was elected unanimously to the position during the first meeting of the year for the board.
Also elected were Titusville attorney Jerry Allender as vice chairman and Cocoa citrus grower Frank Sullivan as secretary/treasurer.
Titusville attorney John H. Evans begins his first term on the board.
Also serving will be Merritt Island auto dealership owner Bruce Deardoff, the immediate past chairman of the board.
