Learn about pioneer life

Those who would like to learn about pioneer life during the late 1800s can so do at Pioneer Day on Jan. 26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Savannas Preserve State Park, located at 2541 Walton Road, Port St. Lucie.

Admission is $2 per person or $10 per family.

Food drive, fun day to benefit outreach center

A food drive to benefit the Harvest Food & Outreach Center will take place Jan. 25 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on the corner of Virginia Avenue and U.S. 1 in Fort Pierce.

Liberty Tax Service has planned a day of family fun and entertainment with kid's activities, music and free food.

Also, those who bring in non-perishable food donations, such as canned food or cereal, to the office any time during the tax season, will receive a $10 coupon toward tax preparation at Liberty Tax.
