ST. LUCIE COUNTY --
Those wishing to tie the knot on Valentine's Day can seal the deal with a kiss at Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens.
On Thursday, Feb. 14 at 2:30 p.m., St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court Joe Smith will perform a group wedding ceremony for couples interested in getting married on Cupid's big day.
Local vendors and partners will provide all the extra touches to make the day truly special for this fourth annual ceremony co-sponsored by the Friends of the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens.
Interested couples must register for the ceremony at http://stlucieclerk.eventbrite.com and click the "register" link to reserve a spot.
Potential brides and grooms will also need to visit the marriage license division at least three days in advance (no later than Feb. 11) to complete paperwork and obtain a marriage license, which will make them eligible to be married.
The license can be obtained from the recording department, located on the second floor of the clerk's main building in downtown Fort Pierce, 201 South Indian River Drive, on the southwest corner of Atlantic Avenue and Indian River Drive.
