MARTIN COUNTY -- The Founding Friends of Treasure Coast Hospice will hold a butterfly luncheon, on Jan. 28.
Ticket sales have been brisk and hundreds of ladies throughout Martin and St. Lucie counties are looking forward to spending a delightful afternoon at the Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club, all while supporting Treasure Coast Hospice.
This year's luncheon will include a fashion show featuring all of the latest looks from Harbour Bay Plaza. Lynda Hartley-Urban will serve as emcee and will be accompanied by pianist John Byrne, who will entertain guests with his music.
The luncheon theme, "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" is creating quite a buzz. In keeping with the motif, there will be a beautiful and sparkly diamond pendant donated by Atlantis Jewelers that will be offered in the silent auction. The 14-karat, white-gold necklace has a custom designed and hand- crafted diamond pendant.
The silent auction will also feature eight original watercolor paintings created by well-known, local artists.
Other highlights include rare sports memorable including a Cal Ripken Jr.- signed baseball and a Bob Griese-autographed football. There will also be vacations to Jackson Hole, Wyo. and Sanibel Island, plus much more.
A complimentary silent auction sneak preview party will be held at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club the night before on Jan. 27 from 5-8 p.m. All are welcome to attend to pre-bid on the collection of donated items.
The luncheon committee has been busy putting together their best raffle ever. Gift certificates to restaurants, salons and local stores will be up for grabs.
The butterfly luncheon is one of two annual fundraisers organized by the Founding Friends of Treasure Coast Hospice. One of the committee's goals is to create an unforgettable experience for luncheon attendees.
Tickets are $100 and all proceeds will benefit Treasure Coast Hospice.
