Party in park taking place Jan. 19
The 19th annual Party in the Park celebration will take place at the Fort Pierce Inlet State Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission is free and the event will feature 40 environmental and community groups that dedicate their lives to preserve air, water, flora and fauna on the Treasure Coast.

Library to host poetry reading Jan. 26
Poetry sharing with William Kemmett returns to the Fort Pierce Branch Library on Jan. 26 from 11 a.m.-noon.
Guests are welcome to read their own work or that of another. This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
The Fort Pierce Branch of the St. Lucie County Library System is located at 101 Melody Lane.

Area organization honors national event
Women and men of St. Lucie County are invited to attend an event to mark the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, sponsored by the newly formed Treasure Coast chapter of the National Organization for Women.
The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 at Good Times (West), 2096 Northwest Courtyard Circle, Port St. Lucie.
The event is free. Appetizers will be provided by Frank & Al's Pizzeria, and a cash bar will be available.
