INDIAN RIVER COUNTY -- The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County's first "Bark in the Park" dog walk and fun fest will take place Jan. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This family and dog-friendly event is free to attend.
Held in Vero Beach's Riverside Park, participants can join in a dog walk, attend the world-famous Disc-Connected K9 Frisbee dog show, meet radio personalities from 93.7 The Breeze, play games and buy pet-related items from local vendors.
Those who want to help animals in need can sign up to become part of a "pack" and help animals just by walking their dog. Those who raise $100 in pledges and participate in the dog walk will get a commemorative T-shirt and a bandana for their dog.
