West Indiana Avenue in downtown DeLand becomes an outdoor café filled with culinary delights at the 6th annual Taste of DeLand from 1 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19. Foodies will enjoy sampling fare from a variety of area restaurants.
Returning this year are local favorites such as De La Vega, Mulligans Tavern, Mainstreet Grill and Bill & Frank's Brickhouse Grill. New to the event are Dally in the Alley, DeLand Diner and Genuine Bistro.
Tasters will enjoy Italian from Sinatra's Ristorante, barbecue from Brian's Bar-B-Q, desserts from Pat & Toni's Sweet Things and Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shop and more.
There will be more than 25 West Volusia restaurants represented with something for everyone.
Event chairman and founding committee member Amy Cheney said she feels the event is a great way for diners to discover new favorite restaurants.
"It's fun each year to watch people leaving the event with pockets full of menus already talking about which restaurant they are going to try for dinner on their next outing," she said.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate and may be purchased from the MainStreet DeLand Association, 100 N. Woodland Blvd., Suite 4 or reserved online at www.mainstreetdeland.org.
