Enjoy a pre-Valentine's Day heartwarming evening and support Daytona Playhouse by attending "Love Letters" Jan 18-21.
"Love Letters" is a Pulitzer Prize, for Drama-nominated play by A. R. Gurney. A unique and imaginative theatre piece comprised of letters exchanged over a lifetime between two people who grew up together, went their separate ways, but continued to share confidences. As the actors read the letters aloud, what is created is an evocative, touching, frequently funny but always a telling character study.
Local celebrity Annie Gaybis joins Daytona Playhouse direct from performing Eliza Doolittle in "Pygmalion." She is an actress, singer, and dancer who has performed with stars such as Placido Domingo, Micheal Feinstein, Burt Reynolds, Kevin Costner and Eddie Murphy. She is joined by actor Robert. O. Dimsey.
Tickets are $25 and 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefit the Playhouse to help cover the expense of emergency roof renovations. So help the Playhouse "Raise the Roof" and enjoy Pulitzer prize winning theatre -- sure to be a night to remember.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Jan 18, 19 and 2 p.m. Jan 20 at 100 Jessamine Blvd. Daytona Beach. For more information or for the box office, call (386) 255-2431 or visit DaytonaPlayhouse.org.
