While the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration started Thursday in East Volusia County, more events are on the way.
Benjamin Crump, the lead attorney for Trayvon Martin, who was allegedly killed in Sanford by George Zimmerman, was the keynote speaker for a banquet Thursday at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. Special guests were the parents of Trayvon Martin -- Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin.
On Monday, Jan. 21, the events begin with a free breakfast: 8 a.m. at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church 580 George W. Engram Blvd., Daytona Beach.
There will be a March for Justice at 9 a.m., starting at Allen Chapel and ending at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 539 George W. Engram Blvd., Daytona Beach.
A worship service begins at 10 a.m. at Greater Friendship to honor Dr. King. The keynote speaker is Dr. James B. Sampson, president of the Florida General Baptist Convention
The City of Ormond Beach will host a Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast program from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at the South Ormond Neighborhood Recreation Center, 176 Division Ave., Ormond Beach.

There will be a breakfast in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 214 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach. At 9 a.m., there will be a march to Old Fort Park on Sams Avenue.
A service will be at Old Fort Park at 10 a.m.
Hot dogs for kids will be served at noon at the Shot Gun House in Pettis Park.

Signature HealthCARE will host a celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at 103 Clyde Morris Blvd., Ormond Beach.
The guest speaker will be Rah'shad Bryant. Mr. Bryant is a motivational speaker who graduated from Mainland High School and attends Bethune Cookman University. Light refreshments will follow the event.
