Women's health expo at civic center
There will be a women's health expo on Jan. 12 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.
There will be many subjects covered, including heart health, childbirth, wound care, stroke education and cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.
The civic center is located at 9221 S.E. Civic Center Place, Port St. Lucie.

Library to host vegetable-growing class
Join Fred Burkey, host of the local television program "Your Florida Yard," as he discusses different ways to grow vegetables at the Fort Pierce Branch Library on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 1 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.

New bank branch to open
One year ago, CenterState Bank opened its second Treasure Coast branch in Fort Pierce, located at the Orange Blossom Business Center, 4150 Okeechobee Road, suite C in Fort Pierce.
Now, on its first anniversary, the bank has officially announced a new 2,500-square-foot, full- service banking center will shortly begin construction.
The new building located on Okeechobee Road, one mile west of their current location and across the street from WalMart, is expected to be completed in early 2014.
