STUART -- Treasure Coast Hospice is rolling out the red carpet to all proud dog owners to participate in the second annual Pup-arazzi taking place at The Fur Seasons Resort for Pets in Stuart on Jan. 19 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Pup-arazzi is a light-hearted and fun event where owners dress up their dogs for a chance to win prizes and a coveted blue ribbon. Owners have the opportunity to get a professional photo taken of their pet, participate in a silent auction and visit with local pet vendors. The registration fee is $25 per pet.
Popular morning radio show hosts Mo and Sally from Kool 105.5 are this year's emcees. Animal lover and activist Allola McGraw is the honorary chairwoman assisting event Chairwoman Peggy Bates. The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will be there with pets for adoption. Entertainment will be provided by DancenSound and refreshments from Starbucks.
Proceeds benefit and raise awareness for Treasure Coast Hospice's Pet Peace of Mind program. Pet Peace of Mind is a volunteer-run program that keeps hospice patients and their pets together when they need it most.
"Our pets provide us with unconditional love and Pet Peace of Mind ensures that hospice patients are with their beloved animals during their end of life journey," said Peggy Bates, Pup-arazzi event chairwoman.
