PALM CITY -- Palm City jazzercise classes collected Christmas pajamas for 36 youngsters at the Hibiscus Children's Shelter in Jensen Beach and for 32 teenagers at the Hibiscus Teen Shelter in Vero Beach.
Michelle Edelman, Jazzercise instructor, and Pat Tiemeyer, benefit organizer, helped collect the 68 pairs of festive pajamas, which were selected especially for each child.
They were boxed up and delivered to the shelters and distributed on Christmas Eve. The children wore their new pajamas on Christmas morning while opening their other donated gifts.
This is the fifth year for the pajama project and Jazzercise Fitness owner Katie Dyer hopes to continue it next year.
