American Business Women's Association to meet
The Four Townes Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at the 4Bs Diner, 173 U. S. Highway 17, DeBary.
Networking begins at 6 p.m. Dinner meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.
Featured at this month's meeting is the annual Tax Panel, three tax experts will answer questions on 2012 and 2013 taxes.

Ground broken for new McDonald's
The City of Deltona marked its newest McDonald's restaurant with a joint ground-breaking ceremony on Jan. 9.
The ceremony with city and company officials was at 131 Howland Boulevard, the location of the new McDonald's.
The eastside Deltona location features new exterior elevations and is planned to open later in 2013.
Family Matters LLC is the owner and it is the company's third location in the area. The company bought Deltona's first McDonald's, 2190 Howland Blvd., in 2000. That location was redesigned and expanded in 2008. Family Matters also owns the McDonald's in Orange City.

Chamber offers networking skills training
Aida Plontke of Poise & Posture will provide networking skills training at the West Volusia Chamber of Commerce's AM Connection.
The chamber event will be at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Gateway Center for the Arts, 880 N. U.S. 17/92, DeBary. It is free for members, but $10 for third-time guests. For more information, call (386) 490-4606.
Vendor Blender slated at Saxon Crossings
Edible Arrangements and Heroes Barbershop will host a Vendor Blender of the West Volusia Chamber of Commerce.

Builder starts three spec houses
Henin Homes will have three ready-to-move-in homes open for viewing in mid-January through early spring.
The homes are at Riviera Bella on the St. Johns River in DeBary.
Matt Boltz, vice president of Henin Homes, said the new homes range in size from 2,300 square feet of living space to 3,100 square feet and are priced from the $300,000s.
