Eve Olive, poet and editor of the newly-released book, "The Cosmic Child," will present work from the book and sign copies at the Creative Happiness Institute at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13. She will also discuss her life-long specialty of Eurythmy.
Ms. Olive was born in Tennessee, but grew up in South Africa from the age of three. She has a degree in architecture from the University of Natal in Durban. Her second profession is eurythmy, which she studied in Switzerland and New York. Eurythmy is an art of movement that makes visible the gesture inherent in the sounds of language and music.
She taught for many years at the Emerson Waldorf School in Chapel Hill, N.C., which she helped to found and design.
Creative Happiness Institute, a non-profit, educational organization, is at 1104 Jacaranda Ave., Daytona Beach. Seating is limited, so reservations are suggested. The event is open to the public with a $5 suggested donation at the door, but free if a book is purchased.
