Luncheon to benefit nonprofit
The Founding Friends of Treasure Coast Hospice will hold a butterfly luncheon on Jan. 28 at Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club.
This year's luncheon will include a fashion show and silent auction.
Tickets are $100 and all proceeds will benefit Treasure Coast Hospice.

Organization opens local chapter
Women and men of St. Lucie County are invited to join the newly formed Treasure Coast chapter of the National Organization for Women.
The next meeting will be held on Jan. 15 at the Treasure Coast Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County, 546 N.W. University Drive, Suite 201, Port St. Lucie, on the third Tuesday of each month.

Library offering free program
While out of holiday break, students can still learn about the Sunshine State at a special, free children's program from 10 - 11 a.m. at the Fort Pierce Branch Library.
Designed for ages 3 - 8, Ms. Sally will entertain students with stories about Florida's history, animals and culture.
The Fort Pierce Branch of the St. Lucie County Library System is located at 101 Melody Lane.
