INDIANTOWN -- The annual Indiantown Christmas parade took place on Dec. 1.

Hundreds of children of all ages lined up along the parade route from Big Mound Park on Indian Mound Drive to the Post Family Park on Warfield Boulevard.

County Commissioners John Haddox, Sarah Heard, Anne Scott and Doug Smith rode along on floats designed and built by Indiantown businesses and organizations.

The South Fork High School Marching Band and Bulldog Battalion, Indiantown Middle School band and cheerleaders, Martin County Fire Rescue and many more participated.

Vicky Yatsko coordinated the parade. Long-time parade advocate and director, Art Matson of Indianwood, served as grand marshal.

At the end of the parade, a tree-lighting ceremony was held in Post Family Park, thanks to the Indiantown Lions Club.
