Merritt Island Airport was a busy place Saturday, Dec. 8. Many pilots arrived early to transform the Space Coast Aviation hangar into a Santa's Toy Shop annex. By noon, Santa's helpers had served approximately 145 pancake and sausage breakfasts and had collected a grand total of 398 toys, including six bikes and more than $200 in cash donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.
