The Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit is getting into the holiday spirit with its annual holiday camp from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Dec. 15.
Make plans to drop off the kids for a fun and educational experience. Children ages 6-10 are invited to enjoy a day of marine-themed activities, including a trek through the mangroves to search for critters (weather-permitting).
Advance registration is required as space is limited. Cost is $15 per child for members and $18 per child for non-members.
The Smithsonian Marine Ecosystems Exhibit is located in the St. Lucie County Aquarium at 420 Seaway Drive on South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce and is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday from noon-4 p.m., and seasonally (January to March) on Mondays from 10am-4pm.
Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. Annual memberships are available, starting from $15.
