MARTIN COUNTY -- The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast's "Holiday's Around the World" celebration will take place Dec. 14 from 5- 7:30 p.m.
Visitors to the museum will enjoy a "trip around the globe" to learn about other country's holiday festivities and help them welcome the first signs of snow in Florida.
Children are naturally curious about how children in other cultures celebrate the holidays, so what better time than now to allow children to explore the history and traditions of holidays around the world while creating traditions of their own?
With mittens on and smiles from ear to ear, kids will be able to frolic in the snow and participate in a snowball challenge.
"Our Holiday's Around the World celebration is an event that the whole family can enjoy," said Olivia Labrador, the museum's education director.
The festivities will include fun holiday games, hay rides, arts and crafts from different countries, and a special appearance from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Refreshments and snacks will be available throughout the event.
There will also be performances from Mariposa, Felix A. Williams and Rivers Edge elementary schools.
The Children's Museum is also offering holiday savings promotions throughout the event, which includes 10 percent membership discounts for December, as well as 10 percent off all gift shop items on the day of the event.
Admission to the event is $3 per person, free for members and children 1 and under are free.
