With only a few months of rowing under their belts, students from Storm Grove, Sebastian River and Gifford middle schools, the Barracudas, held their own against high school rowers from Sebastian, Melbourne and Space Coast High Schools during scrimmage races on the C-54 Canal Saturday morning. The Barracudas' season begins Jan. 7.
