TREASURE COAST -- In keeping with Seacoast National Bank's legacy of more than 25 years of support for the March of Dimes, the organization recently announced it would donate $15,000 as the 2013 premiere sponsor for Treasure Coast March for Babies, which includes Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties.
Seacoast's sponsorship will support programs that are dedicated to reducing the number of babies born early and/or too small through education about the signs of preterm labor and research into the causes.
In addition to regional support, the bank's Indian River County employees also stepped up as a team to raise additional funds for the March.
In the past two years, the Seacoast team has raised more than $6,000 and Seacoast's Cyn DeLee Dalton, senior vice president, regional retail manager/Indian River County, was co-chairwoman of the 2012 March for Babies campaign and began serving on the March of Dimes board of directors in 2011.
"We are truly grateful for companies like Seacoast that embrace our mission and support our educational programs and essential research by providing leadership and helping us to raise awareness in the communities we serve," said Pam Crowley, executive director, March of Dimes, Treasure Coast Division.
